Andy Burnham is being urged to take Britain back towards Europe — with insiders claiming it could hand him a storming election victory and a Tony Blair‑style legacy.
Former Tory minister turned Labour adviser Nick Boles has told the new PM that striking a fresh deal with Brussels could supercharge the economy and “protect the continent”, piling pressure on Burnham to rethink Brexit.
Boles is pushing a bold new idea — a “European Confederation” — giving Britain access to the EU single market, youth mobility and other perks of integration without re‑entering the Eurozone or restoring full free movement.
